Bertolani promoted the theory that in the place rised the ancient castle of Fogliano, property in 1070 of the Bishop of Reggio, reported in the card of "Fogliano". Here rises a laudable XVII century villa, articulated to a tower. It was owned by the Guidetti, Valcavi and now Ferrari-Lasagni. Many are the earthenware details of the original structure visible on the painted fronts. Inside, very interesting spaces are preserved, with decorations and Baroque plasters, a representation stairway and an oratory probably dedicated to S.Luigi. The basement is wide and equipped with pillars and columns, it is connected to a wide space destined as ice-house.
